ONSLAUGHT OF NEW RELEASES IN 2008

I have no doubt in my mind that 2008 is going to be our year, friends. In the coming months we have new releases from ELISIUM, DURDEN, SEVENTH SEAL, REST AMONG RUINS and the release all of you ask about on a weekly basis...COMPRESSION'S BATTLE OF THE ANTS! These titles start dropping in March...you've been warned.

DEAD MEN SWAY, REST AMONG RUINS AND SEVENTH SEAL JOIN THE HARD VOLUME FAMILY!!!

I'm absolutely THRILLED to announce that we've signed 2 more bands to the label who I think are absolutely, positively f**king amazing. We probably listen to 20 bands a day here, and these three are head and shoulders above the pack. Check em out and hear for yourself RIGHT HERE at the Hard Volume online store. More info on each band:

Dead Men Sway deliver thundering spiritually supercharged stew of metallic power groove sludge rock reminiscent of heavyweight giants Clutch and COC. The sound is big, bold, brash and absolutely undeniable. Pick up a copy of Boombabba and join the true believers.

Rest Among Ruins combines the intensity of extreme metal with atmosphere you can literally feel through the speakers. With a great flair for instrumental technicality and a unique, thoughtful style reminiscent of Lamb of God, Rest Among Ruins has broken new ground in American metal. When you hear the band's upcoming full-length, you'll know what I mean.

Check out Rest Among Ruins here!

Seventh Seal melds the ferocity of Alive or Just Breathing-era Killswitch Engage with the melodicism of In Flames to produce a staggering, powerful metal assault - with equal amounts of conviction, hope and determination. Hard Volume is proud to be reissuing the band's first self-titled release and a limited edition EP.

THE WAIT IS NEARLY OVER...PREPARE FOR COMPRESSION!!!!

COMPRESSION'S 'Battle of the Ants' will hit the streets shortly before Winter -- it's a 2CD set, ltd. edition packaging, video extras and more....it'll be a very special package to commemorate the release that will make everything else you hear this year pale in comparison. Here's a preview from esteemed reviewer John Murren:

"A spiritual creation that is nonetheless manmade, Compression follows up their (literally) critically acclaimed self-titled debut with an opus that flips the percentages of the psychedelics vs. the conventional...Compression is a burgeoning footnote to something that hasn't been documented yet. In the future, if there is any justice, they will be the benchmark for how all others will be judged."

I could not possibly say it any better. These guys are so far ahead of everything I've ever heard that it's frightening. Stay with us on this one - you will not be disappointed.

FORWARDHEAD WRAPS UP SUMMER TOUR

Forwardhead has wrapped up the first leg of their "Taking Back the Suffering" tour, which saw the band play to incredibly enthusiastic audiences in PA, NJ, NY, MA and Ontario, Canada.

For our part, we couldn't be more proud. These three guys have worked their asses off for the last three years putting the jaw-dropping Pieces record together, and have definitely paid their dues to get to this level.

They deserve every minute of success they're getting right now. Please join me in congratulating Forwardhead on what has thus far been a truly amazing year. The best is yet to come, fellas....
